These Terms of Service form a legally binding agreement between you and Losia regarding your access to and use of the Losia application, related features, and associated services. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Losia, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the app.
You also acknowledge that certain features may be subject to additional disclosures, platform rules, or purchase terms provided by Apple or within the app. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and mandatory platform rules, mandatory platform rules will govern only to the extent required.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Losia grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to use the app solely for your own personal, non-commercial lens inventory logging, reminder management, and usage tracking purposes.
This license does not grant any ownership rights in the app or its technology. You may not rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or otherwise commercially exploit Losia or any part of it without prior written permission.
Losia is a utility app designed to help users organize and monitor personal contact lens inventory and usage records. The app allows users to upload one or more photos of lens packaging, labels, or lens-related images and add product details such as brand, product line, color, cycle type, quantity, opened date, expiration date, wear notes, storage notes, and status tags. Based on user inputs and automated processing, Losia may generate a structured lens profile, a stock card, an expiry status summary, a wear cycle timeline, inventory summaries, and usage frequency reviews.
The app is intended to help users better manage scattered lens information, monitor opened and sealed items, identify low-stock or soon-to-expire entries, and review weekly or monthly wear patterns. Users may save records locally, edit fields, add wear logs, filter archives, set reminders, delete entries, export overview cards, and clear stored data. Losia may also display archive shelves categorized by cycle type, reminder queues for upcoming expiration windows, open box tracking, and restock prompts.
Some features are free, including manual entry, reminder setup, archive browsing, and basic record management. Certain enhanced features, such as automated parsing or refreshing cycle reviews, may require consumable virtual currency acquired through in-app purchases after any promotional free uses are exhausted. Losia is a lifestyle and organization tool only. It is not a medical device, does not provide diagnosis or treatment, and does not guarantee lens suitability, eye safety, or clinical accuracy.
Some image processing may occur through remote systems for the purpose of structuring user-submitted lens information. According to the current service design, images submitted for structured processing may be temporarily uploaded, processed, and then deleted after processing. Local lens records, reminder data, and cached review data may remain on the user's device until edited or cleared by the user.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Losia and its operators, affiliates, licensors, service providers, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunities, or device access arising out of or related to your use of, inability to use, or reliance on the app.
This limitation applies even if Losia has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In jurisdictions that do not allow certain limitations, liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Losia is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not promise that the app will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, current, or error-free. Features may vary by device, operating system version, region, or platform requirements.
We reserve the right, at any time and without liability, to modify, update, restrict, suspend, discontinue, or remove any part of the service, whether temporarily or permanently. This includes features, workflows, reminder functions, data formats, virtual currency mechanics, or compatibility with certain devices or operating systems.
We may suspend, limit, or terminate your access to Losia at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, created risk for the service or other users, engaged in misuse, or if continued operation of the service is no longer feasible.
You may stop using Losia at any time. Deleting the app from your device does not automatically restore consumed virtual currency or recover deleted content. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect, including provisions relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law.
You agree not to use Losia in any unlawful, abusive, or unauthorized manner. Prohibited conduct includes, without limitation: violating any applicable law or regulation; infringing the rights of others; uploading malicious code or harmful files; attempting unauthorized access to systems or data; interfering with service operation; scraping, harvesting, or extracting data through bots or automated means; bypassing technical restrictions; reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the app except where prohibited by law from restricting such acts; misrepresenting your identity; or using the app in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the service.
You must not upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, invasive of privacy, obscene, threatening, or otherwise objectionable, or that contains material you do not have the right to use.
You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, legality, and appropriateness of all information you enter into Losia, including lens details, dates, notes, tags, and uploaded images. You are also responsible for reviewing generated records and correcting any errors before relying on them.
You are solely responsible for your personal lens handling, replacement timing, product use decisions, and health-related choices. Losia does not replace manufacturer instructions, professional advice, or your own judgment regarding lens care or wear.
Losia is intended only for individuals who are at least 17 years old and who have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under applicable law. By using the app, you represent and warrant that you satisfy these requirements.
If you are using the app on behalf of another person or entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that person or entity to these Terms.
You retain ownership of the photos, notes, records, and other content you submit or store through Losia. We do not claim ownership of your user content.
However, to operate the service, you grant Losia a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, and duration-limited license to host, transmit, process, reproduce, and analyze your submitted content solely as necessary to provide app functions such as structured parsing, record generation, image handling, reminder generation, export support, troubleshooting, and service maintenance. This license ends when the content is deleted from applicable processing systems, subject to limited retention required for legal compliance, security, or technical backup cycles.
Losia may offer consumable virtual currency, such as coins, through Apple in-app purchases. Coins may be used to access certain enhanced features, including automated parsing and cycle review refresh functions, after any available free uses are consumed. Coin consumption amounts may vary by feature or transaction and may be displayed in the app at the time of use.
Virtual currency has no cash value, is not redeemable for money, is non-transferable, and may not be resold, exchanged, or traded. Except where required by applicable law or platform policy, purchases are final and non-refundable once completed through Apple. Availability, pricing, free-use promotions, and feature access rules may change over time.
You are responsible for all charges incurred through your Apple account or device settings. Apple may impose additional terms on billing, refunds, and subscription or purchase handling, and those platform terms remain applicable to the extent required.
Losia, including its software, design, interface elements, text, graphics, workflows, branding, compilations, and underlying technology, is owned by or licensed to its operator and is protected by intellectual property and other applicable laws. Except for the limited license expressly granted in these Terms, no right, title, or interest in the app or its content is transferred to you.
You may not copy, modify, create derivative works from, distribute, publicly display, republish, or exploit any portion of Losia except as expressly permitted by law or by prior written authorization.
We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the service, legal requirements, business practices, or platform rules. Updated Terms become effective when posted in the app or otherwise made available to users, unless a later effective date is stated.
Your continued use of Losia after updated Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised agreement. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the app.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Losia and its operators, affiliates, licensors, contractors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, and reasonable legal fees arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the app; (b) your user content; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of any law or the rights of another person or entity; or (e) any allegation that content you submitted infringes or misappropriates third-party rights.
Losia may generate automated outputs such as stock cards, structured lens profiles, expiry estimates, reminder timing, cycle timelines, inventory summaries, and usage frequency reviews. These results are produced from user-submitted data and automated logic and are provided for general informational and organizational purposes only.
Generated outputs may contain errors, omissions, misread fields, incorrect date assumptions, or inaccurate status conclusions. Expiration calculations and reminders may depend on information you provide, including opened dates, cycle type, and manual edits. You are solely responsible for verifying all generated information before acting on it. Any reliance on generated results is entirely at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Losia is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. We disclaim all warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, security, reliability, and accuracy.
We do not warrant that the app will meet your expectations, that any feature will continue to be offered, that reminders will be delivered on time, that stored data will never be lost, or that automated parsing or review functions will be correct or suitable for your specific needs.
These Terms and any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to Losia or these Terms will be governed by the applicable laws of the relevant jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law principles, except to the extent superseded by mandatory consumer protection laws or other non-waivable legal rights.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect to the extent permitted by law.
